Accounts Assistant

Job Description

 A well-established and fast-growing manufacturer and distributor are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their talented team in the North London Area.

Their products are manufactured primarily in Europe and Asia and are sold mainly to the USA where they have offices and warehouses. Other sales regions are Europe, Asia & Russia.

Responsibilities;

  • Handling supplier payments
  • Posting daily banking
  • Handling the billing processes
  • Preparing statutory accounts
  • Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
  • Responsible for sales and purchase ledgers reconciliation
  • Computing sales margins
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with month end

Qualifications and Skills;

  • A recent graduate in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • Ideally studying for AAT/ACCA qualifications
  • Experience of using an accounting software
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience working within sales or purchase ledger roles
  • 1 – 2 years experience of working in either Sales or Purchase Ledger roles
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations will be an advantage
