Import/Export Coordinator

Job Description

We are working with a Freight Forwarding company seeking an Import Export Coordinator to join their team in Surrey.

Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for handing import/export shipments

  • Managing the full shipping process from start to finish

  • Preparation of documentation

  • Ensure records are complete prior to processing, identifying any issues and amending

  • Raising invoices and following up as required

  • Providing quotations to clients and customers

  • Work closely with clients, third party vendors, shipping lines and other forwarders

  • Provide assistance with HMRC and client audits when needed

  • Complete documentation for Import and Export processes

  • Complete customs clearance

  • Liaising with International Offices

  • Ensure all documents provided by suppliers are correct & compliant

  • Liaise with 3PL Providers

Skills Required;

  • Imports/exports experience

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Experience providing quotations to customers (not essential)

  • Freight forwarding background

  • Experience working with Air freight, sea freight or road freight
