Job Description
We are partnering with a leading US Freight Forwarder seeking a Traffic Coordinator to join their growing team.
The main purpose of the Traffic Coordinator is to plan and execute shipments ensuring all jobs meet the required profit margin.
Responsibilities;
- Responsible for ensuring the integrity of shipped and received goods by verifying and maintaining records of all incoming and outgoing shipments to and from the warehouse
- Plan and control the daily operations of the Shipping & Receiving Department and its staff including the efficient scheduling of trucking activity and the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of the associated loads.

- Examine contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, bills of lading and other records to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
- Prepare material for shipping ensuring freight is properly packed, labelled and staged in designated areas with relevant documentation
- Record shipment data, such as weight, space availability, damages, or discrepancies
- Reports damages, shortages, or nonconformance of material and/or documents to specifications
- Route material to designated areas in the warehouse using work devices, such as hand jack, hi-lo, packaging equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse and cargo
Skills Required;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the Freight Forwarding or Shipping sector.
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Work, Access and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
