We are collaborating with a global service provider to find a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Malaysia.

This role is crucial in maintaining the stability and performance of the client's IT infrastructure, with a focus on server-side Windows environments.

Location: Shah Alam, Malaysia (Hybrid)

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM local time

Languages: English (Mandarin/Cantonese preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver second and third-line technical support for Windows Server issues, with occasional first-line duties.
  • Respond to and resolve service tickets from the Global Helpdesk system, ensuring compliance with SLA requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and suggest preventive actions to mitigate future issues.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Office 365.
  • Administer Active Directory services, including user management, group policies, and domain controllers.
  • Configure and maintain DNS and DHCP services.
  • Work closely with network teams to troubleshoot and resolve network-related challenges.
  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
  • Implement automated deployment and management processes.
  • Thoroughly document work orders, project plans, and scripts.
  • Provide excellent customer service to end users, ensuring timely and effective solutions to their IT issues.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP management.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration.
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and routing.
  • Advanced skills in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Competence in documenting project plans, work orders, and creating checklists for common issues.
  • Experience in performing root cause analysis and recommending preventative measures.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk systems and understanding of SLA obligations.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid setup, with a few days per week in the Shah Alam office as part of the return-to-office plan.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
