Experience within the art industry is not essential. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with carpentry or woodworking experience looking to join a specialised industry.
Responsibilities:
• Making bespoke crates and packaging for the use of fine art storage and transportation.
• May be required to assist in the handling, packaging, and loading of the artwork in preparation for both domestic and international shipping.
• Ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the projects and shipments.
• Ensuring that you prioritise the security and safety of fine art goods when handling, packing or loading.
• Ensuring all health and safety measures are adhered to, when using crating specific tools.
• Proven ability to comply with all rules and regulations and making sure any issues are reported.
• Ability to complete any additional tasks given to you by management.
Skills:
• Must have experience in either carpentry, woodwork, or similar.
• Expertise in the use of power tools for woodworking is necessary.
• Outstanding computer literacy abilities are necessary.
• Experience working within the art industry is a bonus.
• Fluency in French is a must, any other languages are a plus.
