Alchemy are proud to be working with a Fine Art Shipping organisation in Belgium who have an opportunity for a talented individual to join their team as an Art Handler/Driver.     

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a truck driver to join a specialised industry. Experience within the art industry is not essential.
            
Responsibilities:
•    Carry out the expert installation and removal of fine art goods both on and off-site. 
•    Ensure you are packing, loading, and securing the artwork for safe transit using the proper tools and methods.
•    Safely and correctly package all artworks in preparation for local, national, and international shipping/ transportation.
•    Delivery of fine art goods to the warehouses. 
•    Carefully completing paperwork such as driver logs, labels, bills of lading, and condition reports.
•    Troubleshooting and adapting when changes to routes or schedules are made. 
•    Ability to complete any additional tasks given to you by management.
•    Assist internal teams as and when required.

Requirements:
•    Must have experience as a truck driver and hold the appropriate, clean license (B / 20 cubic metres). 
•    Fluency in French is essential, any additional languages are a bonus.
•    This is a hands-on position, the ideal applicant should be physically healthy and able to handle, carry, and move heavy objects or fragile items.
•    The capacity to show keen attention to detail.
•    Exceptionally strong communication skills to liaise with both clients and staff. 
•    The ability to resolve issues and know when to bring them to the supervisor's attention.
•    Knowledge of art handling, installation, and packing is desirable (Not essential) 
•    Knowledge and comprehension in the use of art handling and storage machinery is desirable (not essential) 
•    Flexibility is necessary as you may be required to work weekends or extra hours over the holidays.
