Alchemy is working with an expanding New York Gallery, who are looking to hire an Assistant Registrar/ Cataloguer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the galleries inventory database.
- Complete the process of cataloguing and labelling when it comes to incoming and existing artwork.
- Complete all condition reports, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with international and domestic shipping of art in time for exhibitions, loans, sales and fairs.
- Updating the galleries system with documents and shipment records.
- Assist with the storage of the artwork and corresponding documents.
- Ensure the gallery space and artwork is always prepared for viewings.
- Support the Gallery in organising the framing and conservation of the artworks.
- Carrying out photography of artworks.
- Assist with any additional Gallery administration tasks when required.
Required Skills:
- Experience of working in a Gallery or Auction House or similar organisation is essential.
- Previous inventory management and cataloguing skills.
- Condition reporting and artwork labelling abilities.
- Experience with photography is beneficial for this role.
- Fantastic motivation and attention to detail is crucial.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
