The ideal candidate will have a proven sales and business development background within the logistics, moving or fine art shipping industry, with experience managing a team too!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop relationships with design clients, industry professionals and other individuals relevant to the business.
- Develop objectives for the department to aim towards and new concepts to enhance business
- Lead and implement new sales, bringing on new clients to the design department
- Oversee high-value projects and plans, estimating the required labour needed
- Conduct large-scale problem solving within the business
- Monitor logistics and moving forecasting via outcomes and trends within the art shipping industry
- Arrange weekly meetings with design team
- Mentor and manage the design team, reporting on performance across the board
- Provide motivational training to the department
- Collaborate with HR to aid with hiring for the design department and with the Operations team to streamline workflow
- Conduct yearly departmental reviews
- Oversee warehouse staff and sales to regulate the movement of products in and out of the logistics facility
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years within the logistics, moving or fine art shipping industry
- Proven history of developing a network and relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Computer literacy required and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience training and managing staff
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
