Alchemy is working with a large Moving and Relocation Company that specialize in HHG, Commercial and Military moves, as well as logistics.
Our client is looking for an experienced Dispatch/Operations Manager to join their moving team based in Tacoma, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the warehouse's daily operations.
- Planning and dispatch for the moving team's short and long-haul trips.
- Recruiting and educating new movers.
- Assist consumers with problems, grievances, and payments all throughout the moving process.
- During the busiest moving season, assist with local and long-distance activities.
- Quality assurance.
- Hiring of drivers.
- Background checks for employees.
- Checking on job sites to make sure everything is running smoothly.
- Facilitate tracking, availability, inspections, and maintenance of equipment.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience working as a Dispatch/Operations Manager within the moving services sector.
- Strategic thinker and planner.
- Strong people management skills.
- Highly organized.
- Solid IT skills.
- Valid driving license.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
