Responsibilities:
- Maintain frequent communication with internal management and regulatory officials.
- Influence management to adjust practices and procedures as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Develop and reinforce corporate controls to comply with EU/UK and other international export control and sanctions laws.
- Establish standards and procedures for EU/UK/International sanctions and export controls compliance.
- Guide sites globally in implementing internal controls required by foreign trade regulations.
- Evaluate internal controls related to export practices against Corporate and Divisional policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on EU/UK/International regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company.
- Inform stakeholders about legislative changes in EU/UK/International Export and Sanctions Regulations.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel on EU/UK/International export control and sanctions matters.
- Assist with EU/UK/International export license applications as directed by the Director.
- Manage the process of obtaining international export licenses and ensure compliance with license conditions and reporting requirements.
- Provide guidance to sites and affiliates on EU/UK/International export controls and sanctions regulations.
- Offer guidance and approvals on export control classifications for EU/UK/International export sites.
- Conduct training sessions on technical EU/UK/International export and trade control topics.
- Build and maintain relationships with EU/UK/International Government regulatory agencies.
- Ensure timely reporting of compliance issues requiring voluntary disclosure to EU/UK/International export agencies.
- Assess international sites for Export Compliance in collaboration with KPMG.
- Travel required: 20%
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Global Trade Compliance, legal, auditing, compliance, finance/accounting, logistics, materials management, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EU export controls and sanctions.
- International experience mandatory.
- Supervisory experience is advantageous.
