Our client a well-respected international removals and storage company based in Cardiff is seeking an experienced General Manager to join their team.

The perfect candidate for this role would be ready to hit the ground running to join an already thriving international company.

Responsibilities:
  • Tracking progress and creating task assignment plans as necessary.
  • Maintaining sufficient workforce levels while assigning workers and resources to accommodate the needs of the removal company.
  • Examples of interpretation include interpreting new relocations, distributing responsibilities, and creating or altering work processes to meet production schedules.
  • Enforcing safety regulations and business policies.
  • Driver and porter hiring.
  • Performance reviews must be completed in conformity with business policies.
  • Assist with the certification of drivers.
  • Assisting the Operations Manager in managing the branch's safety and training programmes.
  • Overcoming obstacles in work, lending a hand to others, and performing analysis.
  • Company policies that comply with DOT regulations are being examined and upheld. 
  • Inspection of warehouses to confirm compliance with federal regulations and industry norms.

Requirements: 
  • The ideal applicant must have prior managerial expertise in the removal or relocation industry.
  • Previous experience working in the international market is preferred.
  • The capacity to deal with disruptions on a regular basis and adjust to variations in workload and work schedule.
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
  • Attention to every detail.
