Experience processing US payroll and either EMEA or UK payroll is essential for this role.
This position is a hands-on role, responsible for strategic and operational global payroll processing. It will best fit a professional with years of experience working within a global HR function covering international and expatriate payroll using Workday.
The Global Payroll Lead will sit within the wider HR team and will be responsible for ensuring employees have a positive experience. Key duties of the role include:
- Manage and process US and EMEA payroll both in-house within Workday and through 3rd party vendors where necessary
- Act as the leader for all global payroll operations and strategic initiatives, this will also include new country setup, expatriate payroll and more.
- Review current global payroll operating process; implement and recommend enhancements for ongoing efficiency by leveraging technology
- Conducts review of current vendor services and contracts. Solicits bids for ongoing vendor services and global payroll delivery.
- Partners with HRIS team on Workday Payroll configuration and testing; oversees Workday update process for payroll.
- Researches, tests and implements system enhancements and integrations affecting global payroll processing
- Mentors and coaches the wide payroll team to optimise contributions and performance
- Updates payroll policies, procedures and documentation on HR confluence pages proactively
- Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, payroll and benefits as well as expatriate payroll compliance.
Requirements for the role:
- A minimum of 5 years of global payroll management
- Previous experience using Workday is essential
- Excellent knowledge of agile payroll business processes
- Proven knowledge and experience of expat payroll, compliance, general payroll practices and HR
- Highly meticulous and detail-oriented
- Able to adapt, quickly change and thrive within an ever-changing environment
- Strong IT and HR-related systems experience using systems such as; SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, Confluence, Workday
- Excellent analytical skills with a natural desire for continued learning and mastering new skills

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels globally

This position offers a hybrid working structure and requires 2-3 days working in the office each week.
