Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a seamless and positive experience.
- Conduct and manage employee inductions, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Develop and implement HR policies that support a fair, equitable, and compliant workplace.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR matters; resolving issues professionally and effectively.
- Collaborate with department heads to align HR initiatives with business goals and objectives.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
- Drive engagement programs and initiatives that support employee morale and retention.
- Conduct regular HR audits to ensure policies and practices are compliant with current legislation.
- Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new hires.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on strategic HR matters, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HR management, ideally within a moving, logistics, or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building positive employee relationships.
- Demonstrated expertise in onboarding, induction, and employee engagement programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality.
- CIPD qualification or similar HR accreditation is preferred.
