Key Responsibilities:
- Management and coordinate the logistics for gallery events, art fairs, exhibitions and installations.
- Lead installation teams and oversee subcontractors.
- Ensure the safe handling of the gallery’s property.
- Collaborate with the Head of Logistics to strategize installation, schedules and budgets.
- Prioritize the safety of the team and the artwork.
- Be prepared to travel internationally and locally for art fairs and installations.
- Oversee the restoration of all artworks, including repairs and cleaning.
- Undertake electrical work, including the installation of works such as chandeliers, lighting and wiring adaptations.
- Provide technical and operational insights to align with the business’s growth strategy.
- Implement enhancements as needed.
- Proficiency in operating power tools and machinery.
- 3-5+ years of experience in art installation, or something equivalent.
- The ability to thrive under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Willingness to travel from the gallery’s location into the city frequently.
- Valid driver’s licence to operate a box truck, CLD licence is a plus.
- Ability to lead a team with excellent communication skills.
- Capability to lift at least 50 lbs.
