Our client, a well-known freight forwarder is looking to hire an experienced Inside Sales Executive, Freight Forwarding to join their office in Middlesex.

The Inside Sales Executive, Freight Forwarding will support and provide guidance to existing and new clients, ensuring they receive excellent levels of service and managing their business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the Air, Ocean & Road freight sales ensuring increased GP per customer
• Assist in securing new business
• Selling Freight Forwarding services for Imports and Exports
• Recording sales and order information to assist the business expansion
• Supporting the sales teams to secure new business by sharing market and rate information to drive growth across the different modes of transport
• Promoting company services in the Freight Forwarding industry
• Visiting clients where required
• Generating action plans to enhance performance
• Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients

Skills Required:

• Background in Freight Forwarding/Shipping and Logistics
• Experience in Air, Ocean & Road freight sales preferred
• Good knowledge of European markets preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Commercially minded
• IT literate including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and ideally Cargo Wise
