A global moving and logistics provider is looking to hire an experienced International GSA/DOS Move Coordinator in the Washington DC/VA area.
The International GSA/DOS Move Coordinator will coordinate and oversee the household goods moving process from start to finish on behalf of clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Act as main point of contact with transferee, re-confirming their household goods moving needs
- Maintain regular contact with clients and agents to ensure the move is on track and will be completed in a timely manner
- Deliver an excellent service to clients and ensure a smooth relocation of their household goods
- Track household goods shipments by air and ocean through to delivery
- Contact agents for rates and determine estimated cost for movement of household goods
- Share shipment reports to account, including estimated cost and authorization for additional services
- Obtain and review customs documents
- Book air and ocean freight as needed
Main Requirements:
- 2 years International Government (GSA) Household Goods Moving experience is required
- Experience booking air and ocean freight is preferred
- Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work in a fast moving environment and meet deadlines
