A leading removals company are looking for an International Import/Export Coordinator to join their team based in Surrey.
The role entails quoting, booking, and managing the moves working with different suppliers, shipping lines and removal companies in other countries with a focus on import and exports.
Responsibilities:
- To work with the International General Manager to create a successful overseas division.
- Receive pertinent UK inbound quotes and rate computations, then take appropriate action.
- Coordination of removal agents moves.
- Invoice processing using a private database.
- Liaison with foreign removals agents, HM Customs, etc. with issues pertaining to international operations.
- Contributing to the continued evolution of global systems.
- Organising the removal of household items from other countries.
- Processing the removals paperwork for air freight and shipping.
- Assisting and growing group traffic with peers in the trade and overseas agents.
- Issuing removals delivery and collection notes.
- Filing responsibilities important to the department's efficient operation.
- Participation in meetings and other events, as well as exhibitions to advertise the business's products and services.
- Any additional tasks that management may ostensibly desire.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in the shipping or moving industries is a need.
- Exceptional writing and vocal communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of cultures and geography.
- Exceptional organising abilities, experience in handling several projects.
- Capacity for autonomous and proactive work.
- A cheerful, team-oriented, and "can-do" attitude.
- The capacity to control and end disputes or under pressure conditions.
- It is imperative to speak English well, additional language skills would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge at a high level of any Microsoft office programme.
