Logistics Assistant 

A prestigious Auction House are seeking to hire a Jewelry Sale Specialist to join their Jewelry Department in New York. 
 
The main responsibilities include:
<ul>
	<li>Work closely with the Head of Department, in order to develop sales of property across the board. 
	<li>Helping with the organisation and the marketing of the pre and post-sale events, assisting with viewing appointments.
	<li>Carry out cataloguing and condition reporting and ensure the company data-base is up to date.
	<li>Communicate with new and existing clients in person, on the phone and over email, in a professional and manner.
	<li>Direct and present the pre-sale exhibitions to the highest standard. 
	<li>Assist with valuation, and proposals for consignments, working alongside senior members of the department. 
	<li>Handle client enquiries and provide valuations when required for both scheduled and walk-in appointments.
	<li>Carry out research on the industry, gaining new knowledge and insight on the jewelry market.
	<li>Monitor all assets entering and leaving the department and keep clients informed of any involvement with evaluators, conservators and auctioneers.
	<li>Attend external events and represent the organisation when required.

We are currently working closely with a fantastic art organisation, who are looking to hire a Production Manager to join their team.  
 
This individual will oversee a busy production schedule, the installation of artworks, as well as ensuring costs are kept down and the facility is working as efficiently as possible. Ability to manage multiple projects at once, troubleshoot and adapt quickly depending on production needs is essential.  
 
The key responsibilities of the role include:

	<li>Oversee the production of artworks, managing timelines and process. 
	<li>Have a commercial mindset and ensure that the organisation processes are as cost efficient as possible. 
	<li>Manage work schedules and production orders, focusing on timesaving as a priority. 
	<li>Obtain and negotiate quotes to make sure the best value and commercially competitive products and services are received.

Key Responsibilities 
As a Specialist for Post War & Contemporary Art you will:

	<li>Business getting for the department to fulfil the budgets set for the Post War & Contemporary Art department sales.
	<li>Working with Senior Specialists in the team to develop business getting strategies.
	<li>Grow and maintain a database of customers – both buyers and sellers – for the department.
	<li>Establish and maintain regular contact with collectors of Post War & Contemporary Artwork to encourage further business with the company, either as buyers or sellers

The ideal candidate will have extensive art handling experience and a clean UK driver’s license. 
 
Responsibilities:

	<li>Coordination, moving and handling of artwork
	<li>Framing, fabrication, maintenance of artwork and general support of the artist’s needs
	<li>Manage a team of technicians providing them with training on new and existing handling techniques and health and safety regulations
	<li>Work on projects from start to finish with the artists private global clientele and onsite including planning and installation/deinstallation
