A seasoned Operations Manager is needed by our client, a moving specialist located in the Houston, TX region.

Responsibilities:

• Overall accountability for this extremely active operation's transporting operations department.
• Interacting with the OTR operational employees to ensure that they are prepared for the moves they are performing.
• Crew scheduling and direction on a daily basis.
• Track all shipments' status and address any driver service issues right away. 
• Aiding in the creation of annual business plans for the moving General Manager.
• Accountable for the necessary documentation and log-keeping, as well as driver training.
• The hiring, training, and interviewing of departmental workers.
• Identifies and hires independent contractors for local, regional, and long-distance jobs.
• Oversees and is in charge of ensuring that all local equipment complies with safety standards.
• Supervises a clean, orderly and organized warehouse yard and equipment.

Experience Required:

• Ideally 2 years or more of operations management experience in the moving industry.
• Operational moving management expertise on a local, intrastate, and interstate scale.
• Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking.
• Has a driver's license that is current.
