Responsibilities:
- Oversee the current members of the operations team
- Oversee the daily needs of important client accounts
- Oversee the daily scheduling of air, road and sea freight export and import. (Mostly Shipped Freight)
- Bringing up the job files and all necessary operational documentation
- Using the AZYRA freight forwarding software system to process jobs
- Customs entries made via the CDS interface
- Prolonged client communication and bargaining
- Prolonged negotiations and cooperation with suppliers
- Serving as an internal sales team contact and providing quotes and service details
- Managing the projects in accordance with the client's expectations from the quotation stage to the final invoice and successfully conveying any service difficulties
- Bargaining with the supplier base to maximise gross profit
- Reaching out to current clients proactively to maximise business opportunities
- Sending invoices for completed work
Skills Required:
- Experience with multimodal freight forwarding is ideal
- Outstanding sales or customer service background
- Self-assured communication abilities
- Knowledge of European languages is beneficial but not necessary
- Strong organising abilities
- Excellent focus on details
- Capable of handling pressure and meeting deadlines
- Fast thinker and problem solver
- A passionate and self-motivated personality
- Capacity to assist and collaborate with a team
