The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient customer service throughout the transportation of international, and domestic shipments, handling both import and exports.
Key Duties:
- Oversee local transport/trucking operations including pre-calls with clients
- Supervise the Transport Team, and brief them daily on transport operations
- Ensure Transport Team have properly equipped vehicles
- Carry out vehicle checks, pre and post trip
- Log general vehicle maintenance and servicing
- Liaise with customers, other International branches, affiliates and agents and respond to their rates and service requests with accurate estimations
- Coordinator day-to-day activities with inhouse, and 3rd party fine art handler venders
- Generate bills of lading, and vehicle routing sheets and provide this information to stakeholders
- Collect, file and distribute documentation where required
- Carry out pre-calls to contacts for local collections and deliveries to provide timing information
- Respond accurately to inquiries regarding the status of shipments throughout their transportation journey
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in an Operations, or Shipping Coordination role within the Fine Art Logistics field
- Minimum of 3 years working with Microsoft Office and other transportation field software programs
- Experience with Export and Import using major airlines, and air freight forwarders
- Great attention to detail
