Key Responsibilities:
- Writing with press releases, media alerts, invites and gallery event texts
- Overseeing the planning and implementing strategic and international press campaigns to promote the gallery’s exhibition programs, events, artist and gallery announcement/involvement
- Closely work with the Head of Digital and Marketing for London to ensure communications and social media efforts are coordinated
- Developing key relationships with press contacts, locally, nationally and internationally
- Liaise with artist studios to develop press material for content
- Manage and maintain the press database including admin tasks as updating the press clippings etc.
- Proactively gather new press contacts by coordinating the press mailing data
- Management of journalist briefings, photo calls, press breakfasts, dinners, trips, and work events to support the galleries’ events and projects
- Liaise with museum press offices and PR agencies
- Representation of the gallery at UK and Europe events
Required Skills:
- A University degree, preferably in arts or humanities subjects (B.A)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong analytical, organisational, interpersonal, and impeccable attention to detail skills
- Passion for visual arts and knowledge of the contemporary art scene
- Great IT skills: e.g. effortless use of Mailchimp, Microsoft Office and Mac OS X is a must
