The main objective is to provide a high-quality moving service to clients and customers, supporting them throughout their relocation process. This role will manage the all-round move management function to an extensive international client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage household goods moving and relocation services for clients, overseeing the process from initiation to completion
- Partner with the client to fully understand needs and advise on relocation and moving procedures
- Provide accurate guidance and advice to clients regarding the relocation process and their international moves
- Liaise with shipping lines/airfreight agencies and subcontractors to negotiate and obtain competitive rates and to ensure that the household goods are shipped in line with clients’ expectations
- Ensuring all shipping documentation required for import and export and completed, process and shared as needed
- Ensure the household goods shipments are carried out in accordance with agreed terms
- Process any documentation necessary to ensure service delivery
- Prepare and update relocation status reports
- Produce invoices to clients and liaise with internal accounts department to ensure payment is received within agreed terms
- Compile all relevant job costings, authorizing purchase orders and prepare client invoices
Skills:
- Experience in the moving industry or similar
- Excellent organisation, administration, and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills’
- Fluency in Germany and English
- Sensitivity to the needs of culturally diverse assignees and their families
- Initiative and creativity within the parameters of policy and procedures
- Fluency in IT applications e.g. Microsoft Office and related platforms
- Attention to detail and numeric skills
