Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for hitting annual targets and supporting the gallery’s global goals and targets.
- Manage and expand your client base both in the UK and internationally.
- Communicate and liaise with clients to maintain relationships and future sales.
- Develop new client relationships, while researching potential client targets to build a wider network.
- Organise and host clients at the gallery as well as international art fairs/exhibitions when required.
- Participate in the gallery’s events with predetermined goals to follow up with potential clients.
- Coordinate closely with the Logistics and Finance departments to guarantee prompt sale completion and payment collection.
- Conduct thorough research on the gallery’s artist roster, as well as all art market statistics.
- Make forward-thinking suggestions for artists, pieces of art, and themes for exhibitions.
- Assist in the execution of the exhibition/fair plan, including client communications, installation, surrounding events, and sales pipeline.
- Arrange events for the gallery’s clients.
Skills required:
- Previous experience working within a sales-focussed role in the art industry.
- Proven track record of art sales.
- A network of clients within the UK and internationally is required.
- Knowledge of Design, Furniture, Sculpture and Contemporary Art is desired.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office.
- Other languages are a plus!
