We are working with a market-leading organization in New York who have a fantastic and exciting opportunity. They are seeking a talented individual to come on board and join their team as The Vice President of Business Development. 

This individual will be reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for integrating leasing strategies, and managing a business development team to increase the market shares through new internal and external sales. 

  • Create and implement all business development strategies for the organization 
  • Successfully achieve goals, metrics, and milestones for business development 
  • Manage a team of business development professionals, ensuring their goals are monitored and met successfully 
  • Implement full sales cycles which includes market research, trend analysis, vacancy analysis, prospecting pitches, closing and renewals/upselling
  • Create and implement plans to lease specialized storage space for artwork, fashion and other collectibles 
  •  Establish and maintain client, intermediaries and key industry partner relationships 
  • In collaboration with the marketing team develop leasing proposals, property presentations and other collateral for potential clients 
  • Work with team members across the organization this includes marketing, finance, operations and account managers to execute strategic initiatives 
  • Tasks assigned by manager 

  • 10 years or more of sales or business development experience in real estate, arts and culture or relevant backgrounds
  • Previous experience leading a sales of business development team executing full sales cycle 
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop staff members 
  • Fantastic communication skills written, verbal and interpersonal and negotiation skills 
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead meetings, lead conversations and offer creative solutions
  • Proven ability to close deals and meet or exceeding goals 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
