Business Development Manager - Freight (Remote)

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Freight forwarder seeking a Business Development Manager working remotely or in the Essex office

Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for expanding the sales department
  • Covering the whole UK to grow existing services including FCL and LCL
  • Work within a small sales team
  • Maintain strong client communication, building excellent relationships
  • Fully understand each individual client needs and propose solutions to meet those needs
  • Achieve business development targets as set by the company
  • Responsible for selling Import and Export
  • Reporting sales calls on internal database
  • Create and maintain client tariffs
  • Utilize internal system for pipeline

Skills Required;

  • Experience in Sales/Business Development in the freight forwarding industry
  • Import and export experience
  • Experience securing new business in freight forwarding
  • FCL/LCL experience
  • Excellent communication skills
