An international Blue-Chip gallery is now seeking an experienced Art Technician to join their team in New York. 

Responsibilities for an Art Handler / Technician include:

• Maintaining a highly organised storage space based on customer requirements.
• Handling a variety of precious objects and carefully preparing art for transport, this may sometimes include the loading/unloading of trucks.
• Preparing artworks for viewings as required.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction by catering for any special requirements listed by each job.
• Inventory control duties, making sure that available resources are correct and up to date.
• Some administrative duties may be required for invoicing purposes, inventory management/labelling, driver logs and quality control.
• Correctly disposing of waste packing materials.
• Accurate checking and condition reporting of all property together with accurate labelling and locating of property.
• General warehousing duties may be required.

Skills required:

• Packing, wrapping, and handling artwork and antiques within a warehouse environment.
• Prior experience as an Art Technician or Art Handler.
• Safety first attitude and exceptional care in handling and security of client’s property.
• Excellent client service skills.
• Flexible approach to work. Able to work evenings, weekends when required.
• Able to undertake regular heavy lifting.
