A leading moving services company is seeking a Customer Services Representative to manage local, domestic, and international moving services. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in English and Japanese and will be based in Tokyo.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day tasks across moving, household goods, and relocation operations for a portfolio of clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, retaining and developing relationships.
- Coordinate with vendors, including moving and freight forwarding subcontractors.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, handle job confirmations, and instruct clients on document requirements.
- Utilize online systems for job initiations, coordination, billing, and data input.
- Issue job instructions to subcontractors and ensure compliance.
- Contact clients on moving days to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and issue invoices within 5 days of service for moving, household goods and relocation services.
- Assist with protection coverage claims and payment collection.
- Liaise with intercompany colleagues and agents for seamless client transitions.
- Propose improvements to existing systems and procedures.
- Provide regular reports to the General Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience in moving, logistics, household goods logistics, relocation or freight forwarding.
- College degree or higher.
- Teamwork-oriented with a flexible and persistent attitude.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
