We have a great opportunity available to join our client, a Moving & Relocation provider who is seeking an experienced Domestic GSA Move Coordinator based remotely.

The GSA Relocation Coordinator will act as this Transportation Service Provider’s liaison between Move Management Service Relocation Companies and the Government transferees who are relocating within the US and will be responsible for overseeing the full household goods move process from beginning to end.

Responsibilities of the GSA Move Coordinator:
  • Coordinate Domestic GSA household goods relocations from origin to destination.
  • Conducting initial relocation counselling on logistic procedures and move policy.
  • Arrange all Transportation Service Provider bookings with truckers, agents and brokers etc. 
  • Request authorizations as required from the Relocation client.
  • Determine and choose GSA approved agents and vendors to ensure quality service is provided.
  • Receive, review and approve survey results and obtain authorizations as needed.
  • Counsel the employee regarding any excess cost related services not covered by their government agency prior to service.
  • Prepare shipping and logistics documentation according to guidelines.
  • Provide GSA rate quotations and bids to the Move Management Service Relocation Companies for routing and transportation.
  • Generate bookings, service orders and record all information regarding the household goods move accordingly.
  • Regularly update Move Management Service Relocation Companies and transferees on the move, ensuring the relocation process runs smoothly.
  • Generate insurance certificates via the designated insurance provider.

Skills and experience:
  • Work experience in Moving & Relocation in the Transportation Service Provider capacity, specializing in US Domestic GSA Relocations.
  • Keen interest in continuing a long-term career within the logistics and GSA relocation sector.
  • Knowledgeable on transportation and logistics processes for GSA moves.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build great relationships.
  • Great communication skills, both via telephone and email.
  • Highly organized and good problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT skills using MS Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
