We’re currently on the lookout for Moving and Logistics Coordinator to work within a specialist moving company located in Tokyo, Japan.
Responsibilities will include:
- The management of the end to end moving process of inbound and outbound international shipments, including dealing with the coordination with third parties
- Handle import and export job files as well as intra-Japan files
- Maintain a thorough understanding of international import and export regulations to facilitate smooth processing of orders
- Liaise with suppliers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and overseas partners to guarantee seamless door-to-door services
- Coordinate vendor relations, client contacts, and shipping document management
- Handle complaints, service recovery, claims, and insurance matters efficiently
- Advising and assisting staff on managing clients and have key customer service skills on how to support customers and their families in an efficient and sensitive manner
- Identify potential customer service and logistical challenges, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve the overall process and customer satisfaction/experience.
- Dealing with customers queries regarding delivery schedules or pick-ups, invoicing, billing and discrepancies
Experience Required:
- Fluent in Japanese and proficient in English (written and oral)
- Prior experience in Freight Forwarding, International Trade, or with foreign organisations is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism
- Exceptional organisational and logistical coordination capabilities
- Keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- Skilled in MS office applications as well as industry specific software
- College diploma or higher
