Alchemy is now supporting a well-known moving firm in its search for an Operations Manager for its facility in Orlando, FL.

The Operations Manager will have a hands-on role in the company, in addition to scheduling and overseeing workers, maintaining customer happiness, managing daily moving operations, and continuing proper portfolio upkeep.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Using the findings of the moving survey to determine the needs of each job, and then allocating workers and vehicles accordingly.
  • Managing everyday tasks for the moving journal. 
  • Ensuring that work is finished on time to accommodate the client's move-in date.
  • Finishing and submitting the necessary paperwork. 
  • Keeping an eye on the jobs completed, any problems, and worker arrival times.
  • Giving the move managers job costings.
  • Keeping in close communication with the company's other departments to make sure that operations are running as planned. 
  • Arrange the calendars of external employees and other parties if required.
  • Arranging the cargo' arrival and departure from the warehouse.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required.


Skills and requirements:

  • At least 3 years of moving and relocation industry experience in operations management. 
  • Outstanding IT skills, including proficiency with the whole Microsoft Office package. 
  • Proficient in both written and spoken communication. 
  • Outstanding personnel management abilities. 
  • A motivated and inspiring work ethic. 
  • The capacity to establish and preserve solid connections with both external parties and the company's internal departments.
