At alchemy we are working with an international fine art logistics company who are seeking a Art Handler/Driver to join their dynamic team. 

This position requires a strong understanding of art handling best practices, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely handle, pack, load, and transport fine art, antiques, and high-value objects.
  • Ensure all artworks are protected and secured to museum-standard during transit.
  • Deliver and collect artworks from clients, galleries, and storage facilities across the UK (and occasionally Europe).
  • Install and deinstall artworks at client sites, exhibitions, and art fairs.
  • Complete condition checks, packing documentation, and transport paperwork accurately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and security of the company vehicle and equipment.
  • Assist warehouse and operations teams with inventory management and storage preparation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, ensuring discretion and care at all times.
  • Follow company policies on health, safety, and security, including handling procedures and vehicle compliance.

Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in fine art handling, transport, or museum/gallery operations.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (HGV or 3.5T+ licence desirable).
  • Confident using handling equipment (trolleys, dollies, straps, crates, etc.).
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and manoeuvring heavy or delicate items.
  • Understanding of packing materials and techniques for artworks and sculptures.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Flexible attitude, able to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Knowledge of art logistics, insurance, and condition reporting advantageous
