Our client, a leading logistics and storage company is looking for an established Operations Manager for their Los Angeles Fashion division. 

The ideal candidate will have a background within warehousing, storage and the best practice for the safe handling of goods. Management skills and a meticulous attention to detail are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient storage, handling, and preservation of valuable garments, fashion pieces, and unique collections. 
  • Establish goals and objectives for the operations team, providing quarterly performance reviews on staff. 
  • Create a positive rapport within the workplace, by engaging, mentoring and motivating staff. 
  • Coordinate service work, including scheduling and execution, to meet client needs and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Manage all necessary paperwork, and inventory management. 
  • Provide technical feedback and support to the Account Management team in preparing estimates and addressing client inquiries.
  • Lead training programs for the Operations team, focusing on handling, inventory control and adhering to the companies policies. 
  • Collaborate with other teams, both locally and nationally, to coordinate resources, share best practices, and ensure alignment on key initiatives.
  • Assist with finance related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Strong team player with effective people management skills, able to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, project management, and/or logistics roles, with at least 5 years of demonstrated effectiveness in people management.
  • Experience interacting with professionals within the luxury or fashion remit and familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and collection management databases.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment, including pushing and pulling up to 150 pounds and carrying up to 40 pounds over distances of up to 90 feet.
