An exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveying professional to lead cost management and commercial functions across a portfolio of high-value real estate developments. This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial efficiency, cost control, and value optimisation from project inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the quantity surveying and cost management function across multiple real estate projects (residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and commercial).
- Develop and implement cost strategies, budgets, and financial controls aligned with project and business objectives.
- Oversee cost planning, estimation, benchmarking, and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage procurement strategies, tender processes, and contractor negotiations to achieve best value.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising cost efficiency and project profitability.
- Review and manage contracts, variations, and claims to ensure compliance and cost control.
- Collaborate closely with design, development, and construction teams to optimise project outcomes.
- Provide strategic commercial insights and reporting to senior leadership.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing quantity surveying team.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management within real estate or construction.
- Proven experience managing large-scale development projects with significant project values.
- Strong expertise in cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and commercial management.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market cost benchmarks.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Experience in GCC or UAE is advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional membership (e.g., MRICS or equivalent) is highly preferred.
