We are partnering with a leading airline seeking an experienced Manager, Catering Inventory & Logistics to lead the global strategy for catering inventory, equipment, and logistics across an international airline network. This role is responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of catering equipment, bonded items, beverages, and dry stores while driving efficiencies in inventory management, warehousing, and global logistics.

Working across Procurement, Catering Services, Product Design, Operations, and external logistics partners, you will develop scalable supply chain strategies that optimise stock levels, reduce costs, improve operational performance, and support the delivery of a world-class onboard customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the global supply and distribution strategy for catering equipment, bonded items, beverages, dry stores, and other onboard inventory. 
  • Ensure uninterrupted operational availability of catering inventory across the airline's international network. 
  • Lead inventory planning, demand forecasting, and stock governance to optimise inventory levels while maintaining service standards. 
  • Manage inventory lifecycle planning, including safety stock strategies, replenishment, and obsolescence management. 
  • Develop and oversee warehousing strategies across outsourced and in-house operations, ensuring efficient storage, replenishment, and stock control. 
  • Optimise international logistics networks by reducing unnecessary transportation movements and improving supply chain efficiency. 
  • Partner with third-party logistics providers and suppliers to drive performance, service quality, and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with Product Design, Procurement, Catering Services, and Operations on new product introductions, inventory transitions, and end-of-life planning. 
  • Evaluate cost, operational, and service trade-offs to support informed business decisions. 
  • Monitor inventory performance, logistics KPIs, and supply chain risks, implementing corrective actions where required. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relating to bonded goods, customs, and international logistics. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational reliability while reducing costs and supporting sustainability objectives. 

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline. 
  • Significant experience in global supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or catering operations within aviation, hospitality, logistics, or other complex international environments. 
  • Proven experience managing high-volume inventory portfolios and complex global supply networks. 
  • Strong expertise in inventory planning, demand forecasting, safety stock optimisation, and inventory lifecycle management. 
  • Experience developing warehousing strategies across outsourced and in-house operations. 
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, transportation planning, customs processes, bonded goods, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs), suppliers, and global vendor relationships. 
  • Knowledge of airline catering operations, galley equipment, onboard service products, or similar operational environments is highly desirable. 
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost optimisation initiatives, and cost-to-serve analysis. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance operational, financial, and customer service priorities. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across Procurement, Catering Services, Product Design, Operations, and Finance. 
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives within complex, fast-paced operational environments. 
  • Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
