A New York based corporate advisory firm is looking to employ a Strategic Intelligence manager to join its growing team.

The focus of this tole is to manage complex due diligence, investigative research, and strategic intelligence projects for private equity firms, law firms and multinational corporations across the United States and Canada.

The ideal applicant will have strong commercial awareness, have a background in strategic intelligence and possess strong client-facing ability to deliver high-quality intelligence reports that support critical investment and strategic decisions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Head up strategic intelligence and enhanced due diligence projects.
  • Carry out in-depth qualitative and open-source research into companies, markets, counterparties, and regulatory environments.
  • Assess commercial, reputational, and regulatory risks associated with investment targets and business partners.
  • Develop strategies for intelligence-gathering for specific projects
  • Build human source intel networks by identifying, validating, and cultivating contacts across multiple industries and geographies.
  • Prepare high quality commercially focused reports, briefings, and presentations for clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver projects to c-suite clients.
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Collaborate with execution teams to deliver accurate, well-structured, and actionable intelligence products.
  • Work with BD and marketing teams to assist with business development initiatives.
  • Keep up with global political, regulatory, and commercial trends & developments relevant to client sectors.
Competencies required:
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in strategic intelligence, business intelligence, due diligence, consultancy, law, investigations, investment advisory, or corporate risk advisory.
  • Strong experience conducting open-source research using US research databases, public records and intelligence-gathering techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of commercial writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical judgement with exceptional attention to detail and commercial awareness.
