  • Inspect and evaluate raw materials, work-in-progress and completed products against engineering specifications and quality requirements.
  • Work alongside Manufacturing and Engineering teams to identify quality risks and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Review production performance and recommend changes that improve quality, efficiency and consistency.
  • Investigate product non-conformances, manufacturing defects and customer quality concerns.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis activities and develop effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Apply recognised quality tools and problem-solving methodologies to resolve recurring manufacturing issues.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, procedures and supporting quality records.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities remain aligned with relevant Quality Management System requirements.
  • Work with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to assess supplier quality and performance.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments where required, ensuring purchased materials and components meet specified standards.
  • Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other analytical techniques to monitor manufacturing and quality performance.
  • Track key quality metrics, identify trends and communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Support the development and delivery of quality training for production and manufacturing personnel.
  • Promote quality ownership and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Remain current with relevant aerospace quality standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Support internal and external audits and contribute to maintaining applicable quality certifications.
  • Ensure products and processes continue to meet applicable aerospace quality and safety requirements.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Approximately 3–5+ years of Quality Engineering experience, ideally within aerospace manufacturing or another highly regulated engineering environment.
  • Experience working with precision-manufactured metal components, tubing, fabricated assemblies or similar engineered products would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, SPC, root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or comparable quality management standards; aerospace-specific quality system experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret manufacturing and quality data and translate findings into practical improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Suppliers and Production teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent would be beneficial.
