The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload covering immigration, human rights, deportation, Pre-Action Protocol and Judicial Review matters, providing high-quality casework and client support from initial instruction through to conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of immigration and human rights matters.
- Prepare Human Rights applications, including private and family life cases.
- Handle Human Rights and deportation appeals, including reviewing Home Office decisions.
- Prepare and manage Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) correspondence and matters.
- Assist with Judicial Review cases, including reviewing decisions, identifying potential grounds and preparing documentation.
- Prepare legal representations, statements, applications, appeal bundles and supporting evidence.
- Review client instructions, supporting documents and Home Office correspondence.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure deadlines are properly managed.
- Communicate professionally with clients, counsel and relevant stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with UK immigration law, policy and procedural developments.
- Experience in managing Human Rights applications, particularly private and family life matters and Human Rights appeals.
- Deportation appeals, including reviewing Home Office decisions and preparing grounds and evidence.
- Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) correspondence and case preparation.
- Supporting or preparing Judicial Review matters.
- Reviewing Home Office decisions, identifying key issues and determining appropriate next steps.
- Preparing clear and well-structured legal representations, statements, applications and appeal bundles.
- Managing multiple cases, prioritising workloads and meeting strict deadlines.
