Accounts Payable Manager

Alchemy has partnered with one of the industry’s most respected relocation companies to source an Accounts Payable Manager. This is a new position, and they are looking to hire someone as soon as possible. To effectively head the accounts payable department and maintain its efficient operation, the position demands a well-organized professional. In addition to processing supplier invoices and training employees, the Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for accurately maintaining records. 
In order to be successful as an Accounts Payable Manager, you should concentrate on streamlining departmental procedures and cultivating lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You should possess strong analytical, decision-making, leadership, and communication abilities.

Job responsibilities: 

•    Recruiting, training, inspiring, and assessing accounts payable team members.
•    Ensuring that routine departmental tasks are carried out accurately and on time.
•    Keeping accurate and thorough records of finances, employees, and clients.
•    Gathering, analysing, and providing management and government organisations with reports on financial data.
•    Determining and assisting in the achievement of departmental goals.
•    Creating, implementing, enhancing, and upholding departmental controls, budgets, and policies to boost accuracy and effectiveness.
•    Establishing relationships with team members, clients, vendors, and lenders. 

Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred. The minimum prerequisite is AAT level 4.
•    5 years of experience managing accounts payable.
•    Comprehensive understanding of accounts payable procedures as well as accounting and management principles.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
•    IT proficient, especially with business applications and bookkeeping software.
•    Excellent problem-solving and planning abilities.
•    The capacity to analyse procedures and information.
•    Drive to create and preserve relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
•    Commitment to ethical behaviour and to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.
