General Manager

Our client a moving specialist based in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced moving General Manager to join their team.

The perfect candidate would have prior General Management experience within the Moving Industry, charismatic and the ability to drive a the company forward. 

  • Observing all parts of a moving services provider's sales and operations.
  • Manage employees' performance, motivate them, and keep an eye on it to ensure high standards are always met.
  • Lead the acceleration of production and sales, exceeding all financial, budgetary, and profit goals.
  • Create and implement operational procedures to improve the effectiveness of the moving and storage business.
  • Ensuring that the business complies with operating requirements and fostering a culture of health and safety in the workplace.
  • To create a more effective and efficient operation, identify, address, and resolve any business performance-related concerns.
  • Always strive to provide excellent customer service for all moving and relocation services.
  • Find ways to help employees grow by constantly assessing their present abilities and providing them with new training possibilities.
  • Maintaining knowledge of market trends and shifts in the moving, storage, and relocation sectors by demonstrating your familiarity with consumer and competitor behavior.
  • Ensuring that every employee is aware of the company's objectives and provides a reliable, exceptional service that adheres to quality standards.

  • Must have prior experience working as a general manager in the moving industry.
  • Familiarity of military moving services preferred.
  • Experience in management with P & L accountability.
  • Strong operations and sales expertise in corporate relocations, transport, storage, and specialty moves, as well as door-to-door domestic goods moving.
  • Highly structured with innate management and leadership abilities.
  • Strong sales and commercial business acumen will be desirable. Excellent communicator, at ease working with all levels of management and staff.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferable, but a High School diploma is required.
  • Strong IT abilities and prior knowledge of MS Office products.
