Global Relocation Team Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a Global Relocation Team Leader to join our client, an international mobility and relocation services provider.

This position will work remotely on the West Coast USA and will be directly responsible for leading a team of Global Relocation Counselors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced global relocation professional with natural leadership skills.

Responsibilities of the Global Relocation Team Leader:

  • Leading, managing and supervising the international relocation and mobility team members
  • Serving as the subject matter expert on global relocation and international mobility process and procedure
  • Supporting the Global Relocation Counselors with day-to-day activity and complex relocation issues
  • Support and handling out of hours questions and queries, escalating as required
  • Conducting annual performance reviews, disciplinary action and terminations
  • Training, coaching, mentoring and upskilling the team
  • Supporting internal hiring and recruitment processes
  • Managing the household goods shipping process for international assignees
  • Consulting with corporate clients and managing executive VIP relocation cases
  • Managing the relocation life cycle with a core focus on VIP moves and corporate clients
  • Administering global mobility policy benefits, ensuring the Global Relocation Counselors understand client policy

Skills required for the Global Relocation Team Leader:

  • Ideally 5 years + experience in an International Relocation or Global Mobility Counselor role
  • Previous experience working for a Relocation Management Company
  • Previous staff management or supervisory experience is preferred
  • Previously trained, mentored and coached other team members
  • Solid understanding of international mobility, household goods moving and relocation
  • Confident to work remotely and managing a remote team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to give instruction
  • Advance IT skills using Microsoft Office products
  • Good presentation skills
  • GMS and CRP certification is an advantage
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
