Household Goods Coordinator

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Household Goods Coordinator to join a large logistics business based near Arlington, VA.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the household goods moving process from start to finish, providing excellent customer service throughout
  • Create and manage account files
  • Reach out to destination agent for rates and to determine estimated cost
  • Contact the transferee and provide them with information relating to their move and re-confirm their needs
  • Book air freight and ocean freight services
  • Create and print airway bills as required per IATA specifications
  • Monitor and track air and ocean shipments from start to finish
  • Send shipment reporting to account group
  • Obtain and review required customs documents from transferees
  • Confirm pack and load dates with transferees and origin agent

Key Requirements:

  • Over 3 years experience working within the Household Goods Moving or Relocation industry
  • GSA or ITGBL moving and relocation experience preferred
  • Experience booking LTL, TFL, Ocean and Air freight
  • College degree or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient IT user
