Integration Business Analyst

Alchemy are currently partnering with a global technology firm who are looking to recruit a Integration Business Analyst to be based onsite in Zurich.

We have an opportunity for an Integration business analyst to support us in in large integration project between an Azure cloud technology system and our on prem systems. Integrations that need to be created will cover CRM data, instrument data and transaction feeds. Customer data will largely be to distribute CRM data from internal and SaaS systems to the Azure cloud. Transactional feeds will typically cover Customer trading activities such as Orders, Order Responses, Payments etc.

Principal objectives:

  • To be able capture all integration requirements from the Azure Cloud system and capture these into detailed mapping specifications that detail the fields and rules between the source and target systems.
  • Gathering of non-functional requirements from various stakeholders including business and operations teams.
  • To help prioritise the delivery of all integrations between on prem systems and the Azure Cloud system. A key part of this will be ensuring that the solutions have been thoroughly tested and meet the specified functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Run workshops with key stakeholders to fully understand requirements and document these into requirements specifications such as user stories and solution specifications.
  • Able to work under time pressure and to manage the priorities in a complex project setup.
  • Work with development, data and process analysts and delivery teams to implement the agreed solution.
  • Produce solution and user documentation like user guides and release notes.
  • Promote best practices and influence all stakeholders to follow standard methodology and tools (Scrum, SAFe).

Candidate requirements:

  • Have experience of analysing and delivering a system integration solution to a core business system deployed in a large size company.
  • Sufficient technical skills to be able to read XML and JSON documents using to support the required integrations and understand the concepts of web service technologies.
  • Worked as a lead business analyst for an application development project, delivered to (or within) a medium to large size company.
  • Be able to write high quality requirement documents, mapping documents, test plans, project plans, user guides, highlight reports and release notes.
  • Be able to guide the development team, at a detailed level, on the functionality that needs to be developed and any changes / corrections that need to be made during the development lifecycle.
  • Be able to carry out hands on application functionality testing, prior to handing over for user acceptance.
  • Be able to design business processes, perform requirements analysis and run requirements workshops.
  • Very strong communication skills, the ability to explain technical topics clearly and intuitively and to compile precise specification documents.
  • Be able to drive and influence the business to deliver to schedule.
  • Take ownership of both technical and business issues.
