IT Project Manager - Automation
Job Description
Our client a leading international retailer are seeing an IT Project Manager – Automation to join their expanding team based in Nuneaton.
The main purpose of this position is to create a long-term strategy for automated Warehouses, ensuring successful integration between the Automation WCS and the WMS.
Responsibilities:
- Directs, manages, and develops their Logistics Assistants and Logistics Administrator
- Establishes and maintains positive working connections with outside collaborators. Manages Aldi's partners in accordance with contract rules, ensuring that performance is tracked and reported for continual improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the project's goals, budget, and deliverables, as well as to achieve consensus and unambiguous alignment at all levels
- Identifies, examines, and offers cost-cutting options in the supply chain, as well as develops operational plans for implementation, all while maintaining due diligence and stakeholder engagement
- Collaborates with other Logistics Managers to ensure consistency, alignment, and efficiency where departments intersect, as well as to improve service and cost
- Ensures that all legal obligations in his or her area of duty are followed
Requirements:
- Supply Chain, Warehouse Automation (Manhattan) and IT experience is essential
- Industry experience in a Management role would be desirable
- Previous project and people management experience
- Experience of stakeholder management at all levels
- Automated Warehouse operations
- Integration of Warehouse Management systems with Warehouse Control Systems
- Leadership, Team Management, Strong Communicator, Management of 3PL, Cost Savings, Budget Management
- Logistics qualifications strongly desired but not essential
- Minimum 2:2 degree or equivalent
