Local Dispatch Manager

Job Description

An experienced Local Dispatch Manager is needed to join a growing moving team in the outskirts of Washington DC. The moving company specialises in local domestic and commercial moves.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the warehouse's daily operations.
  • Planning and dispatch for up to 5 drivers + contractors for local removal trips.
  • Recruiting and educating new movers.
  • Assist consumers with problems, grievances, and payments all throughout the moving process.
  • During the busiest moving season, assist with local and long-distance activities.
  • Quality assurance.
  • The hiring of drivers.
  • Checking on job sites to make sure everything is running smoothly.
  • Facilitate tracking, availability, inspections, and maintenance of equipment.


Experience Necessary:

  • Prior experience in local dispatch operations in the moving services industry with ideally 3+ years of background in the sector.
  • Professional attitude/
  • Planner and thinker of strategy/
  • Solid man management abilities.
  • Highly organised.
  • Sound IT abilities.
  • Willingness to put in extra time as needed.
