Local Operations Manager

Job Description

We are assisting our client, a large moving company in the search for a Local Operations Manager to join their already well established team.

Seeking an experienced Local Operations Manager ready to take on a new challenge in a very fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the warehouse's daily operations.
  • Planning and dispatch for the moving team's local moves.
  • Recruiting and educating new movers.
  • Assist consumers with problems, grievances, and payments all throughout the moving process.
  • During the busiest moving season, assist with local and long-distance activities.
  • Hiring of drivers.
  • Background checks for employees.
  • Checking on job sites to make sure everything is running smoothly.
  • Facilitate tracking, availability, inspections, and maintenance of equipment.

Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a moving industry supervisory area.  
  • Planner and thinker of strategy
  • Great man management abilities.
  • Extremely organised.
  • Strong IT abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to put in extra time as needed.
