Multi-Modal Business Development Manager, Freight Forwarding

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Multi-Modal Business Development Manager, Freight Forwarding to be based in the West Midlands.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling air, ocean, and road freight services nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate own leads, turning those leads into new business
  • Sell multi-modal freight services including air, ocean, and road freight across the West Midlands and nationally
  • Negotiating and closing deals
  • Liaise with clients and customers
  • Arrange visits with new and existing clients
  • Meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets

Main Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience successfully selling multi-modal freight services including air, ocean, and road freight
  • Experience working for a freight forwarder in a sales / business development position
  • Must be an extremely motivated and pro-active sales hunter
  • Proven track record selling multi-modal freight services and achieving sales targets
  • Must have extensive knowledge of various modes of transport including air, ocean and road freight
  • Ability to build strong relationships with potential clients
