Payroll Analyst

Alchemy has an incredible opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join an aiming tech company in Denver as a Payroll Analyst. Their business is a leader in the technology industry, and the software they created forms the basis for important scientific discoveries and studies. The ideal applicant must be proactive at all times in a fast-paced setting, possess good communication skills, and have a sharp eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the evaluation and resolution of all local, state, and federal taxes and guarantee that all rules are strictly followed.
  • Participate in annual audits of your 401(k), workers' compensation, and W2s.
  • Accurately submit monthly and bimonthly US and Canadian payrolls for several states.
  • Examining, analysing, and resolving any payroll inconsistencies.
  • Consistently maintain accurate payroll records to guarantee compliance.
  • Examine payroll procedures for improvements and implement them.
  • Act as a point of contact for any issues or requests from US workers and consistently provide prompt answers.

Skills:

  • Skills: 3+ years of experience processing US payroll internally; knowledge of many states' payrolls is a plus.
  • A thorough knowledge of pay and tax legislation.
  • Prior experience sourcing complex, high-volume equity transactions across many jurisdictions (NSO, RSU, ISO, ESPP).
  • Capable of working well both alone and as part of a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and superb organisational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The capacity to prioritise duties and multitask in a hectic setting.
  • It's a bonus if you've already used Workday, ADP, WorkforceNow, or Safeguard.
