Alchemy Global Talent Solutions is supporting a global leader in the medical device manufacturing industry in the search for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their high-performance engineering team at a high-volume, fully automated facility in South Carolina.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of machine improvements and capital equipment projects.
- Provide hands-on support in the troubleshooting and optimisation of cam-driven, pneumatic, and hydraulic production systems.
- Drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and waste reduction across high-speed manufacturing lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to implement new technologies and system upgrades.
- Manage multiple technical projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including validation protocols, standard operating procedures, and maintenance plans.
- Oversee contractors and internal teams during installation, modification, and commissioning activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within medical devices or other regulated, high-speed production industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of synchronous/asynchronous assembly platforms, servo systems, pneumatics, and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
- On-site presence required a minimum of 4 days per week to support operational collaboration and technical integration.
- The site maintains strict safety and hygiene protocols, including no smoking/vaping, and regulations around footwear, jewellery, and accessories while on the production floor.
