Alchemy are looking to hire an experienced IT Project Manager for Our Client's dynamic and modern IT department. This role will be integral to their business function and will allow you to work on multiple projects at the same time.

The Project Manager will work within the projects team managing both large and small internal and external projects, to address commercial, operational, and organizational issues and requirements, always aiming to deliver lasting business performance improvement. The PM is also responsible for delivering technical projects that typically are a combination of outsourced service provision, process re-engineering and IT solutions delivery.

The role is perfect for someone looking for hybrid working who enjoys seeing projects through to completion, while working with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be required to travel due to the nature of the projects as well.

The Project Manager will work within the projects team managing both large and small internal and external software development projects following software development lifecycle, addressing commercial, operational and organisational issues and requirements. Responsible for delivering technical projects that typically are a combination of outsourced service provision, process re-engineering and IT solutions delivery, focussing on lasting business performance and improvement.

Responsibility
  • Responsible for managing major software delivery projects and changes through to successful delivery, following the software delivery lifecycle, liaising with colleagues, maintaining, documentation, progress reporting and managing costs
  • Working with other Project Managers and technical leads to deliver on time and to budget.
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining detailed project documentation including project plans, RAID logs etc. Leading on project meetings, from kick off to go live, liaising with internal teams, customers and 3rd parties
  • Be fully cognizant of statements of work and scope definition of projects and use these to control delivery of projects to customer and company expectations, time, cost and quality
  • For each project, develop a detailed understanding of the project solution, our services and operational requirements needed to deliver a service that is fit for purpose and encourages customers to grow their business with our company and be a reference to other customers.
About You
  • Must have’ technical experience:
  • Experience of delivering technical solutions, managing the software development lifecycle, implementing bespoke software, understanding technical requirements and deliverables.
  • Excellent IT skills: Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Experience of Project Management tooling e.g. Microsoft Project, Smartsheets,
  • Experience of working in both PRINCE 2 and Agile Project environments.
  • Have relevant professional qualifications.
Our Client support customers on their digital transformation journeys. Born out of a scanning company, we still have four main scanning centres across the UK where we are working on large digitisation projects for the NHS, the Ministry of Defence and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. And usually, we are busy digitising most of the exam papers undertake in the UK every year.
